I’m CeeBee, I have Rheumatoid arthritis, and a Very Cool Pony (VCP).
How does a person such as myself end up with a VCP? I’ll tell you:
The year I turned 40 I had my dream horse. She lived in luxury, I had a lesson every morning before work. I wasn’t cleaning stalls or dealing with nasty un-broke rank horses, just to get my horse fix. I was living my dream. Enter Rheumatoid Arthritis. Seemingly overnight my life changed. I was no longer strong enough to ride my challenging mare, some days I cannot get dressed without help. When I sold her, I thought I would never have a horse again, so I started a business, The Debonaire Mare, to stay involved in the equestrian community. One fateful day, my good friend SB, and another most excellent friend, set me up on a blind date with Santos. It was love at first site. Santos is a kind, and gentle German Riding Pony.
And that, my friends, is how I have a VCP as a best friend.
I will share my journey with my fantastic pony friend, and all of our fabulousness here.
Come along for the ride, stay for the style.
